I've
been graced by the Almighty to write. In fact, though
you might not believe in mere men communicating with
God, his first audible directive to me was to write
- a book. Being just a teen and never thought much of
myself then, exclaimed silently and a bit doubtful.
But knowing who God is, just said yes; also, having
been taught to do so. It is after numerous years writing
that I've seen the fruit of this, with several unpublished
books, newsletters, articles and other publications.
Writing has become a vehicle by which I communicate
God's word and give godly directive. I previously had
a disdain view of writing, but now realize that it is
the most powerful tool ever known to man. It makes you
laugh, cry, converts, corrects, teaches, exhorts, preach,
instruct, inspire, encourage, soothes, releases pain,
carry a message, preserve history and many more far
reaching, far impacting things. It has survived all
generations and all times; from the ancients to present
it is there and has never disappeared and will never
disappear.
Having
said that, why I write maybe purely biblical or God
oriented, but everything relates to God somehow. When
we hurt he hurts; when we have a need, he has a need;
when we become weary, he becomes weary by empathizing.
That's why he came as Christ, to succor those needs
permanently. That's why he graced me to write, to bless
the body of Christ and instruct "those who are
without;" doing so in meekness, watching my own
self also, for we too are incline to act in the ways
of a 'sinner'. Therefore, in answering the question,
"Why I write," I write because it's a grace
God has given unto me - to inform, instruct, correct,
heal, mend and basically to glorify him. I write for
him, I write for Yah. I've even been offered proposals
to travel worldwide with renowned ministers to write,
but upon asking the Lord, he didn't give the go ahead.
It's today I realize that was a good thing, and solidify
the fact that only for God I write, and if for him,
then by Him!
