One such person is Les Brown. In the mid 1990's I got
a tape of one of his speaking engagements from oversees.
As a teen, caught up in the affairs of teen hood, I
watched it over several times; especially when I was
depressed, usually after a bad game. He really motivates
you and he is extremely witty too. What makes him fun
to watch is his patented laugh; you can't help but laugh
with him. So, one he makes me laugh yet not trying to,
but doing the opposite, serious motivation. Second,
he knows his stuff and can draw analogy for clear visualization.
His communication skills are unmatched. I don't watch
stuff like this in general, and today, probably only
preaching; but I would listen his public speaking and
recommend it to you too, to get motivated.
He appeals to individualism, tradition, youth and logics.
He gives expert opinion and surprisingly posses many
warrants. His body movements and gestures - emblematic
types too - are convincing and uncanny. From laughter
to a stern look to hands motioning a rush, all in one
go. As if you could feel what he felt, as he feels what
you feels and thus empathy was also a key quality.
Though he speaks to different peoples on different
subjects, there is always an homophile sparked, as if
he'd live many experiences or "walked many a shoes."
To add to this, he has physical attractiveness, likeability,
reputation and moral values. He should be a preacher,
as his mother said he would be.
All in all, he inspires and achieves a high ranking
as an effective communicator. In fact, it is while viewing
those tapes previously mentioned, he challenged me with
three questions, which I've made the thesis of ThreeQ.com
and Liberation International Ministries: Why are you
here? Where are you coming from? Where are you going?
