THE VOICE...

"The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord"

Praise the Lord everyone,

Just last night while coming home an ancestral devil told me he’s going to kill me that night. He did it in such a way I nearly laughed then rebuke him. But the Holy Spirit stopped me, seeing it wasn’t a preposition and he made it plain that it was only by his strength that I can stand against them. Though I thought it was so hilarious, yet I was angry because I just hate it when the devil tries to use fear and a pretentious voice of being my savior to frighten believers with even scriptures; bout, “tonight your soul is require of you.” I could feel God’s hand holding me back not to answer that one.

Anyways, later that night after drinking lots of fluid I got up to go to the bathroom. When I got up to go to the bathroom my head felt “out of order,” like I was going to pass out. I pressed against it and went to the bathroom anyway. In the middle of my leak the disorder came on stronger and all I know I was on the bathroom floor. However, I didn’t feel the hit, neither do I have any pains that of a tragic fall; even though it was quite obvious because the thing in the tub that holds the soap (made of concrete like material) was broken right out of the wall. Plus, the way I fell my back was anti-parallel to the corner of the bathtub edge, which would make the fall a crippling one. But my God came through again and I give him the praises. I got up off the floor a bit dizzy and weary going back to bed, where for the first time since a child I unknowingly continued my leak.

All through the ordeal I used what the Lord taught me while sitting alone at the harbor one morning. What is that? Anchors! Never did I budge, never was I afraid, moved with a ‘what if’ or feel threatened. I was anchoring every moment on the word of God, the only sure anchor in this life. You see, I’ve been going through a series of attacks lately because of the explosion of this new Internet ministry and destiny. For instances, the devils assigned to me don’t want you to hear testimonies like these from my new friend in Africa:

“The book is fantastic I am reading it rather slow so that I can figure everything out and I am praying while reading it so it is helping a lot. There are so many things I wasn't aware of and I am glad I am getting to understand them now. One of the things was the importance of the water baptism. I mean I know that water baptism is important however I grew up in a religion that preaches and practices infant baptism-sprinkling water on the infant’s head- and considering that to be enough. In addition in our teens we are encouraged to be confirmed so after baptism and confirmation everything is fine... well I am reading chapter 4 at the moment and I have an open mind. However there are so many things I have to consider at the moment, but I am glad I have your book, I had a few questions in mind but I am finding that the more I read, the more the questions are answered and new questions arise. I am going to write them down and send the outstanding ones when I have finished reading the book.” (Sheila Koburungi, Uganda, AFRICA)

And these devils sure enough don’t want you to hear and be apart of the over 160,000 hits our site has received in less that two months of its opening, with the majority of visitors being ‘sinners.’ Plus the nearly 1,000,000 unsaved cyber group users that have heard the gospel message through this ministry in less than two months and the many saints that were edified by our tracts, newsletter or receive quality counseling free of charge.

Please I covet your prayers, because these attacks continue to come in diverse ways. I remember one silent incident recently when I was surrounded by three witches in the public; one had a mermaid wand. Nothing happened, especially when the Lord told me to be still, don’t rebuke, don’t bind and loose this time, just be still. In other words, rest on the anchor. Sometimes we fight too much on impulse rather than rest on the sure anchor or his word.

The concept of the anchor is this, like the roaring seas that pull and thug at great ships, so are the problems and demonic attacks in our lives. Regardless of how innovative shipbuilding becomes they will always have to deal with the raging sea. So even if the most elaborate new technological designs are weaved in the ship, it still has to have an anchor.

Likewise, regardless of how personally innovative we become as born-again Christians in fighting this spiritual warfare, it will all fail except you have an anchor. I was at my wits end because I thought I had mastered every strategy of the enemy, yet still I kept finding new ones. If I kept along those lines it would have led to insanity. So the good Lord has to teach me about anchoring. As long as we live in this life and strive to live godly we shall suffer persecutions and attacks; and regardless of how innovative we strive to become in warfare, the wind is still going to blow and seas are still going to rage. Regardless of how theologically advance we propel we are still going to be bombarded with verses that put us at naught. Regardless of how much we fast and pray, the devil is still going to sensitize through our flesh to have unwed sex or an adulterous relation while living in this wicked world. Regardless of how many organizational chart we draw up, pocket organizers (PDA) or scheduling system we build to govern our time, we still are going to be off track. Regardless of how intelligent, strong, spiritual or detailed oriented we become, it’s a fact that you’re going to be bombarded with confusion, sicknesses, diseases, breakdowns, being burned out, failures, shame, suicide, depression, suppression, lonely feelings, backsliding habits and all the strategic throw off of the devil.

The persons that will survive all this are those that have learned to anchor on the word of God. When sicknesses come even beyond visible conditions they’ve have learned to trust his word, knowing that by his stripes we are healed. When feelings of unworthiness creeps in, the justification anchor pops up and say, “I am the righteous of God in Christ Jesus; ‘for by one offering he hath perfected forever them that sanctified’.” When you feel you’ve missed the mark or failed God’s assignment, anchor on the sure word of God that “he who begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Tempted to have sex, use this anchor, “the body is not for fornication but for the Lord and the Lord for the body.” Tempted to lie and cheat, remember, “all liars shall have their part in the Lake of Fire.” The devil telling you that you’re no good and you should kill yourself, plant this in your head, “now are ye [put your name] the sons of God.”

Consequently, for you to use the anchor that is already in you, you must know the word of God seeing the word is the anchor. It would be a dangerous thing for a ship to go sailing without an anchor. It’s also dangerous for a born again believer to live without knowing and applying God’s word; and it takes faith to properly maneuver it. For when the winds come and sea rages and the anchor drops, the wind and sea doesn’t stop being violent. Rather, because of the anchor the raging wind and sea has no pulling and pushing (manipulation) power over the ship.

Therefore, even though the storm continues to rage and even death takes place, the anchor of God holds and his promises are sure, regardless of visual perception. So then the anchor only carries you through the natural storms of your Christian life and prevents them from having any effect on you. More could be said about the anchor and its inexhaustive usefulness to a born again Christian. However, as usual, time, space and such delights will force us to end here; but we leave with you a most excellence camp 2001 sermon by Pastor Dexter Edmund, entitled, “No Power.” It’s all too fitting as it concerns anchoring and my hope and dream is to see happy faced Christians in seemingly turmoil situations because of the anchor. Peace and love to you all.

P.S The following day after that 'midnight attack', the University that I applied to contacted me and even though my grades weren't good (you would laugh if I tell you) they unanimously accepted me in there accelerated program. Talk about favor and the Lord's hand. To him be all the glory and honor and praises forever, AMEN!
