Web News letter!
We still on that topic

Bless God,

Hi everyone. I hoped you were edified by the last letter, though it was long and I actually didn't  go into the reason and result of suffering. This is the third mail on the topic. The first dealt with suffering generally as it pertains to the present. The last mail took up my experience as I was trying to narrow down suffering individually. (Please continue to read, yes I know they are longish, but start reading rather than scroll down first. Thanks for the replies and I welcome all mails.)

But why do I have to suffer and Christ did it for me already? That was my biggest concern when I just got saved; as mentioned in the first issue.

Today's scriptures: "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience hope;"   2 "knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

The best part of the above scriptures is that God is building our character. He is building integrity, honesty, steadfastness, boldness, nobility, self-esteem wisdom, understanding, and all the characteristic that makes up an excellent leader and true ambassador. I know its not easy when your kids act up or your parents act up. Its not easy having your mamma and pappa forsake you. Its not easy being made a "gazing stock" to the world. Its not easy when your marriage 'is on the rocks'. Its not easy when you're married for 40 years and "slou foot" Jim left you for a younger woman. Its not easy called to be a preacher and you lack opportunity and know how. Its not easy trying to live holy when sexy-body sharon and muscle man Joe are at your door everyday "begging a piece." Its not easy having no money and basic neccessities and having to pass opportunities to make off with somebody else bread; much more to still say God is a good God with joy. Its not easy having no father around for your kids. Its not easy on your sick bed to still give God the glory. Man its not easy lost in knowing who you are and busy-budies and tail bearers constantly chewing on your name like some wriggles. Its not easy being misunderstood. Its not easy being emotionally, physically or financially depressed. Its not easy being tormented by spirits. Its not easy living for Christ broke and the unsaved seems to have it all. BREDA and SISTA  its not easy but he that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep. Then why all this???????

Could it be that God likes you and wants to bless you. Could it be that you're special and anointed? Just could it..Don't you know who he loves he rebukes and chastise. Remember what Isaiah 48:10, "I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have choosen thee in the furnace of affliction." Brethren the bible said, "think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you: But rejoice, in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when this glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy...But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evil doer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if ye any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf." (I Peter 4:12)

The mail is far spent and I haven't started getting into the thesis. Haven't even address the young people. Didn't even give you the illustrations. Nontheless take this short one, read the poem and check out the links and have a bless week. One love!

Suffering backs you in a corner. You are distressed. Even so the word distress comes from the greek word 'aporia' which means unable to get out of a situation. So its like chasing a racoon. At first the seemingly timid creature runs from you. But when its backed in a corner you better start running, it becomes a very fierce creature. Similarly God will allow the enemy to afflict us until the real you arise and devil regrets that he troubled you in the first place. There are some great stuff lock up in side of you that the Lord wants to release and it has to be tried in the "furnace of affliction." Believe me when I say, in you is something and someone special! God bless.
