Blessings
everyone,
Before
going into this week’s newsletter, I must thank
everyone for staying on board with us these past
weeks. If you have replied to the newsletter or
written to the email address and it’s bouncing
back, it’s because someone has sabotage my
inboxes and I do need your prayer towards that
end as well. If you’re trying to contact me,
please go to the injesus site and press contact,
here.
Or you can do it on the discuss newsletter msn
site, here. I’ve also
notice another problem of which I need your
prayers, greatly. There is a group of satan’s
agents whose sole purpose is to try and stop the
purpose with which God has placed in this
ministry. So, without being formal, I NEED YOUR
PRAYERS!
OBSTACLES
We as
saints can do much more that what is being done,
but most often we are limited by fears, doubt
and insecurities; all the work of the devil. Not
that you are not doing anything, because that
would me you’re not saved, as discussed here;
but as the devil “hindered” Paul he’ll try to
stop you too. Here are some excuses to
evangelism which might face you this
year:
• Not
having the assurance of Salvation (Php
1:14)
• Neglect of Prayer life (Math
17:21)
• When one feels unable because of
lack of Knowledge (Acts 4:13)
• Fear of
Ridicule (Rom 1:16)
Besides
physical fights like a storm brought on by the
devil, almost all obstacles stem from fears or a
lack of knowledge in Justification.
Justification makes it plain that even if a
believer falls down he or she still has the
legal right to do what God says do. Often times,
one make the excuse that “I can’t do this or
that because I have done this.” Honey, if the
devil sees that that plot hinders you, he’ll
make you kick the computer and say you have sin
as to bring guilt to prevent you from
evangelizing. For instance, someone will make
this excuse, “well, last week I told a lie and
it’s killing me and I can’t go witnessing this
week.” Not only is this unbiblical but also a
widely use tool of the devil. God already made
provision for your failings, before you failed
and said “go on keep witnessing.” Take for
instance, this Old Testament verse,
“And
the Levites that are gone away far from me, when
Israel went astray, which went astray away from
me after their idols; they shall even bear their
iniquity. Yet they shall be ministers in my
sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the
house, and ministering to the house: they shall
slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for
the people, and they shall stand before them to
minister unto them” (Eze 44:11).
In
other words, even though the priests sinned (the
‘worst’ of all sins – spiritual adultery), God
still made them ministers in his temple; because
“the gifts and callings of God are without
repentance” (Rom 11:9). In other words, they
weren’t disqualified from being ministers.
However, he said they shall “bear their
iniquity” or suffer for the sin they committed.
Reason being, “every disobedience do receive a
just recompense” (Heb 2:2). Imagine, this was
the Old Testament or under the Old Covenant, how
much more under the New Covenant or New
Testament. If God could have pardon these
priests and allowed them to still minister, how
much more us, whom Christ has taken away all our
sins.
Let us
stop being afraid to witness because of what was
done. Though sin is not condone in our camp,
fallings do occur, but kick the devil in the
gut, brush yourself off and let your breastplate
of righteousness shine through with the glorious
gospel of Jesus Christ. Remember, “Every tongue
that shall rise against thee in judgment thou
shalt condemn” (Isa 54:17). Why do we get this
privilege to condemn it? Because your righteous
is not of yourself, neither can it be, so God
prophetically said that your “righteousness is
of me, saith the LORD” (Isa 54:17); and of a
truth, “There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Rom
8:1).
So
don’t be afraid, feel insecure, think what
brethrens might say, become docile and hinder
Kingdom Building. Go!
FLATTERIES
This
is one of the worst obstacles in Christendom
today, because it is extremely deceptive and
cannot be easily discerned. The prophet Daniel
told us of it, while I was reading it in
December it notes:
“And
they that understand among the people shall
instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword,
and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many
days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be
holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave
to them with flatteries. And some of them of
understanding shall fall, to try them, and to
purge, and to make them white, even to the time
of the end: because it is yet for a time
appointed” (Dan 11:33-35).
This
was speaking of now. Flatteries here come from
the Hebrew Transliterated word Chalaqqah; which
by the dictionary means, “Excessive or insincere
praise.”
For
instances, “you have a nice large ministry, why
don’t you offer this item for sale to them, as
respected and well received you are, it would
surely profit and help the ministry.” Soon after
such a minister become so occupied with selling
that his ministry fall apart and the word of God
abandoned for fancy conventions, religious
cruises and elaborate church buildings.
Flatteries can kill your ministry and let your
congregation become luke-warm. Flatteries can
dampen your local outreach and cause you to be a
so called “nice quite Christian” at your school,
job or neighborhood. Flatteries are deadly! Ask
God to give you discernment when it
comes.
Many
Apostolics ‘bad mouth’ T.D. Jakes and say he has
given up his apostolic roots, however, God is
the one who controls all things and even if he
has become anything like what I hear he’s just a
victim of flatteries. And the same can be said
about Tommy Tenny (I really don’t follow
preachers; I prefer a lot of personal studies).
Remember, T.D Jakes was on the cover of the
world’s top magazine – TIME. That’s one of his
biggest flattery yet; amongst others like
clothing line, TV shows, cd’s and I even heard
there was a suggestion to make a T.D Jakes doll.
My God! How far will the church go in these last
days under flatteries? Nevertheless, the mere
fact these things has happened is that the devil
recognizes that he, as Daniel said, is a man of
understanding who “instruct many.” And though he
has rubbed shoulders with the great T.V
deceivers, many of them have been converted, so
God is really doing something I cannot attain
to. For instance, I heard that through
association with T.D Jakes, Bishop Eddie Long
has realized the importance of Baptism in Jesus
and Baptized his 24,000 church congregation
again in that name.
We
should rather pray when men of understanding are
lifted up; especially bearing ourselves in
mind.
FLATTERIES
AMONG APOSTOLICS
“Even
President Clinton got in the Charismatic swing.
According to Pastor Mangun, Clinton has had a
soft spot for Pentecostals ever since. ‘He loves
our music. He loves connecting with
Spirit-filled people,’ says Mangun, 47, now
pastor of one of the largest UPC Churches in the
country, The Pentecostals of
Alexandria.
President
Clinton himself said, ‘I have a lot of friends
in Pentecostal services, and a lot of their
church music is some of the most awesome music
I’ve ever heard. You just gasp when you hear
it.’
Clinton likes
Mangun’s music so much, in fact, that he asked
his church’s choir to perform at inauguration
Day events in 1993 and 1997. Sometime later,
they sang, ‘Lift Up Holy Hands’ and ‘He’s
faithful,’ led by Mangun’s wife, Mickey, a
popular soloist.” (Manuscript: “The
Voice..”)
This
is how Flatteries will creep in our churches
with “excessive praise”, and it will seem
innocent. The devil will use flatteries from men
and women that can flatter you. With flatteries
come compromise and with compromise come
seducing spirits and with seducing spirit comes
seducing doctrine and with seducing doctrine
come a great falling away and with a great
falling away comes judgment and utter
destruction.
Men
and women that hold fast to the true Apostolic
doctrine, be very careful! It might seems like
God is lifting you up, when it’s actually the
devil weaving his web.
FLATTERIES
AND YOU
Men
and women are flattered in our ‘churches’ today
because they are effective for God. The devil is
not going to flatter you if you mean no threat
to him. Once you’re born again, you’re a threat
to him and therefore flatteries come from all
angles. Because of it many churches have put
aside the traditional podiums and have
transformed it into a stage for a performer.
Some churches and conventions are now shows with
many performers waiting for their chance to be
flattered. Studying the word of God is optional,
praying and
fasting (pdf) is
side stepped, reaching out to the lost around
you is rarely existent. We have no time for
that, we must practice the next gospel song to
be flattered and make money, oh, “for the
ministry.” We must rehearse the next sermon to
be flattered in doing the next; and almost
certain, an “itching ear” will develop. We must
put on our Sunday best, while others can come to
church, just to be flattered. We must compete
with other ministries that were flattered in
having cruises, elaborate conventions and such
delights all to be flattered our self. By
flattery, we must be a nice decent behaving
Christian at our jobs by not speaking out
against homosexuality, adultery, fornication and
other sins. Wait, here’s the best one, “you
can’t drive that car, wear that clothes and live
at that house, you’re a Christian, the head and
not the tail. Come let me show you how to put
some money in your pocket and you can still
minister.” FLATTERIES! FLATTERIES! FLATTERIES!
FLATTERIES!
God
hate flatteries and because of it many,
especially the “greats,” are being diluted in
evangelism. Even worse, many of the brethrens
are flattering their brothers and sister and
even I have being guilty on both sides; i.e.,
flattering and being flattered. For instance,
these multilevel marketing schemes introduced in
our churches are flatteries. Be careful! This is
how God hates flatteries, “He that speaketh
flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his
children shall fail” (Job 17:5).
Be
careful saints, we have this “treasure in
earthen vessels.” And while in this flesh,
flatteries and fallings will come, but don’t let
it hinder you from building the Kingdom of God.
Daniel said it is “to try them, and to purge,
and to make them white.” Keep pushing, “the
Kingdom of God is not meat nor drink,” but your
earthly reward is what the greats and rich of
the earth are dying for, “righteousness and
peace.” As seen in the previous letter, the
Kingdom of God is a marvelous thing and others
should know about it, even at the expense of
your very life! That’s how hungry and Kingdom
minded we should become.
