Shalom
to all,
If
you’re not familiar with this, one of Israel’s
aim as a new constituent since 1948 is to build
a third temple. However, God is not the driving
force behind this and if asked, do not send you
hard earned money to support this venture.
Support the inhabitants of Israel, if they
suffer perils, but do not directly support the
building of a Third Temple. Actually, all is in
place for this to take place and the sacred red
heifer is already bred.
But
Psalms 40:6 reads, “Sacrifice and offering thou
didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened:
burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not
required.” This verse clearly shows that God
doesn’t delight in temple sacrifices. Then the
next verse, Psalms 40:7, showed what would
replace that. It reads, prophetically, “Then
said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it
is written of me.” This, of course, is Yeshua Ha
Mashiah or Jesus Christ; which is the new
covenant spoken of by the prophet Jeremiah,
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I
will make a new covenant with the house of
Israel, and with the house of Judah” (Jer
31:31). So then, if the sacrifices of the Law
were replaced by Jesus Christ, then any
sacrifice in a third temple would be null and
void and even an affront to God. God purposely
had the temple destroyed to destroy temple
worship, because “He taketh away the first, that
he may establish the second. By the which will
we are sanctified through the offering of the
body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Heb
10:10-11). In fact, Jesus Christ was the last
sacrifice made for sins and ended the
continuance of temple sacrifices; Because “the
law having a shadow of good things to come, and
not the very image of the things, can never with
those sacrifices which they offered year by year
continually make the comers thereunto perfect”
(Heb 10:1). So what Jesus Christ has done, was
to cut the work short in righteousness and “he
hath perfected forever them [born again
Christians] that are sanctified” (Heb
10:14).
STIFF
NECKED
Nevertheless,
many Jews will be stiff-necked and not only
refuse Yeshua Ha Mashiah, but attempt to build a
third temple and revive orthodox Jewry. In fact,
God, through the prophet Isaiah speaks boldly
about these Jews that are pressing to build a
third temple. It reads,
7.
“Of the increase of his government and peace
there shall be no end, upon the throne of David,
and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from
henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD
of hosts will perform this.
8.
The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it
hath lighted upon Israel.
9.
And all the people shall know, even
Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria,
that say in the pride and stoutness of
heart,
10. The bricks are fallen down, but
we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores
are cut down, but we will change them into
cedars.
11.
Therefore the LORD shall set up the
adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his
enemies together;
12. The
Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and
they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For
all this his anger is not turned away, but his
hand is stretched out still.
13.
For the people turneth not unto him
that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD
of hosts.
14. Therefore the
LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail,
branch and rush, in one day.
15.
The ancient and honourable, he is the
head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is
the tail.
16. For the
leaders of this people cause them to err; and
they that are led of them are destroyed” (Isaiah
9:7-16)
Notice
the order: Messiah comes, temple destroyed,
stiff-necked ones want to rebuild it, and
surrounding nations torment them for this. The
same order is seen in Daniel 9:26. In other
words, the only reason the 2nd Temple was built
was to usher the last and final sacrifice, Jesus
Christ; which is why the High Priest had to be
responsible for his death. After this was done,
the temple is never needed again (Heb
10:14).
However, verse
9-10 above said that some Jews in the “stoutness
of heart” will attempt to rebuild the temple the
third time. Verse 11-14 said that God, in an
effort to frustrate and turn them to him, would
join their enemies together round about them and
allow them to be devoured by “open mouth” (Verse
12); not by force or war but democracy. These
enemies are more than likely the Muslim nations
around Jerusalem. But still they will not “seek
the LORD of Host” as said in verse 13. This also
shows that Orthodox Jewry and 3rd Temple
building is not seeking the Lord.
Verse
14-15 showed that the religious sect of modern
day Israel (Priest, Rabbi’s, Masons and other
students of the torah, Kabala, Talmud) are the
one having the people believe in a 3rd Temple
re-building and Orthodox Jewry, “For the leaders
of this people cause them to err; and they that
are led of them are destroyed.” But the Lord
shall cut them off, nevertheless, the rest of
the chapter showed that many still won’t turn
and probably still push to rebuild the temple
and revive orthodox Jewry.
THE
KINGDOM OF GOD
Back
to verse 7, which is another reason why the
temple is not needed. It speaks of Christ and
his Kingdom which is built without walls and
will continue to florish until his second
coming; it reads, “The increase of his
government…shall be no end.” This government is
the kingdom of God.
Remember we
said in the letter ‘Really, what is building the
Kingdom of God’ that “It is a Kingdom without
walls or in essence, it’s everywhere and
anywhere; "for now is come salvation, and
strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ" (Rev 12:10). Church
buildings, infrastructures and other tangibles
are not the Kingdom of God, they are spin offs
from building the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of
God is within you (Lk 17:21). This proclamation
of the kingdom is a reality offered now, not
just in the future (Mk 2:11). The Kingdom of God
is an extension of the Kingdom of Heaven. It
cannot be built by earthly things, it is within
you; a concept hard to grasp if you’re used to a
building with fire coming down from
heaven.
Nevertheless,
those days are over with and new way has been
introduced. God wants to take the fire and cloud
out of the building and put it into the streets
were the masses are. That’s why he gave it to
you, and what are you doing with it? Are you
evangelizing as you should? Are you fasting
and praying as you should?
How many souls have been won this year so far?
Has the television and pleasures got you
captivated? God wants the fire in the streets,
this is the sacrifice today! By the spirit of
the Lord, GET CRACKING!
For
Jesus, the kingdom was already present in his
own person and ministry and appeared visibly in
the casting out of demons, satan’s power had
been broken (Lk 11:17). It was also signified by
the many other works which Jesus did, as he
reassured John the Baptist (Mt. 11:2). As joint
heirs with him, let us labor with the same
intent, to build the Kingdom of God.
ISRAEL:
GOD’S TIME PIECE
The
reason why Israel is still God’s time piece
isn’t because of a third temple or an orthodox
Jewish race. But simply because God determined
before hand that the literal land of Jerusalem
is dedicated to him. The land is his and it’s
holy, not necessarily the inhabitants. He
declared in 1 Kings 11:36, “Jerusalem, the city
which I have chosen me to put my name there.”
Even further, one of the main reasons why Israel
was taken captive by Babylon so brutally wasn’t
only because of their sins, but more so they
defile God’s land. God said through Jeremiah,
“And first I will recompense their iniquity and
their sin double; because they have
defiled my land” (Jer
16:18).
God
cherishes and is jealous over his land,
Jerusalem. Ezekiel also records this, “Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of
my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of
the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have
appointed my land into their
possession with the joy of all their heart, with
despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey”
(Eze 36:5).
In
fact, the entire end time events surrounding
Israel are orchestrated by God. He said, “I will
bring thee against my land,
that the heathen may know me, when I shall be
sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes”
(Eze 38:16). This speaks of the final battle
over Jerusalem, pass Armageddon, this is the
battle of “Gog and Magog.”
And
finally, that new city or New Jerusalem will be
set up at Jerusalem itself. Revelation tells us
that an entire city will descend from the sky,
pre-built, and it shall rest over Jerusalem.
Here God will reign on earth with his saints for
1000 years.
So
then, orthodox Jewry and the present inhabitants
of Israel are not the real reason behind God’s
time piece, the literal land is favored by God.
The reason I’m stressing this, is because we in
Christendom often feel like the Jews are
superior to us, when in fact we are superior to
them (and all creatures) being second to God as
sons. We, who are born again, are the real Jews
and Christendom is really Messianic Jewry. I was
reading a testimony of a Rabbi who came to
believe in Jesus, one thing he noted that I
noticed, was that he said no Christian ever
approached him all his life about the Messiah;
he found out through the exploring the Old
Testament Prophecies, because he was told not to
read them by his elder Rabbi’s. Saints, don’t be
afraid to witness to Jews, just because Orthodox
Jewry is the school master of your faith. No Jew
can be saved unless he is born again (Acts
2:38). Don’t be afraid to tell them that and be
seasoned in love.
I was
writing this while putting some finishing
touches on the Israelite version from ‘TRUTH
SERIES’ manuscripts, which are to be published
soon; if God is willing. Please pray to that
end. God bless and have a great week in the
Lord.
Grace
be unto you,
Oneil.
